Around 300 people of Gulon Village and its surroundings flocked to the free treatment, which was provided by the community service team from the Undip Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM), Sunday (25/9). The activity was located at the Undip Disaster Clinic in Gulon Village, Salam, Magelang.

Previously, the LPPM Undip community service team had carried out similar free treatment in Gojoyo Hamlet, Demak Regency and Sumber Wuluh Village, Candipuro District, Lumajang Regency. This free treatment in Gulon Village has been carried out for the umpteenth time by LPPM Undip, by inviting a team from the Diponegoro National Hospital (RSND) and the Undip Faculty of Medicine (FK).

This free treatment is one of Undip’s tangible manifestations in completing the obligations of higher education, namely the Tridharma of Higher Education in the field of community service. This is as conveyed by dr. Abdul Mughni, leader of the Undip team of doctors in the free medical activity in Gulon Village.

“In the midst of a community in need, we really hope to be able to attend, adjusting the other service agendas that have been set by LPPM Undip,” he said.

Free medical event led by dr. Abdul Mughni was also accompanied by dr. Sri Winarni is supported by 110 residents, 12 co-ass, 14 nurses, as well as admin staff and volunteers from students.

Prof. Agus Subagio, Deputy Chairman of LPPM Undip said that his party will continue to be committed to helping people in need with various programs that have been launched. “We will continue to strengthen our commitment to community service programs like this and according to the needs of other communities,” he concluded.
